This session aims to build understanding of the factors affecting public health system resilience across multiple communities and countries to the COVID-19 pandemic and other emergencies.

Expected outcomes

An understanding of the factors affecting public health system resilience across multiple communities and countries to the COVID-19 pandemic and other emergencies. The alignment of with the World Health Organization (WHO) Health Emergency and Disaster Risk Management (Health EDRM) Framework with the Public Health System Resilience Scorecard (Scorecard) will also be explored. A policy brief will be developed after the workshop for promoting strategies to strengthen public health system resilience across multiple communities and countries.
