UFJF announces postgraduate specialisation course on "Disaster resilient cities" with UNDRR

The NEPRU (Public Engineering and Urban Resilience Nucleus) programme of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) held on 6 October 2022 a Live presentation of its "Programme for the analysis of disaster resilience in the municipal context", designed in collaboration with the UNDRR Regional Office for the Americas and the Caribbean through the "Making Cities Resilient 2030" (MCR2030) initiative.

The event marked the launch of the public call for applications for municipalities to participate in the "Programme for analysis of disaster resilience in the municipal context", which will include a postgraduate specialisation course on "Disaster resilient cities".

In all, two municipalities will be selected this year to receive technical support in the preparation and analysis of their Local Resilience Plan. Portuguese-speaking municipalities registered in the MCR2030 initiative have until December 16, 2022, to submit their applications.

The event had for speakers: Clément Da Cruz, Technical Advisor of the MCR2030 initiative in UNDRR Regional Office for the Americas and the Caribbean; Ana Carolina Antunes Vidon, Manager of the Technological Innovation Centre - Critt/UFJF; Gislaine dos Santos, Coordinator of the Specialization Course "Disaster Resilient Cities"; and Jordan Henrique de Souza, Coordinator of the Programme for disaster resilience analysis in the municipal context.
