MCR2030 in Serbia: Report outlining the levels of urban resilience in the Republic of Serbia’s cities and municipalities within the MCR2030 initiative
This document results from analysis of progress achieved by cities and municipalities in the Republic of Serbia, which worked between March 2021 and November 2022 to enhance disaster resilience. In Serbia, this work was made possible with the generous support of USAID’s Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA).
The authors can conclude that the results are very similar for all nine LSGs. The LSGs have developed most of the necessary public policy documents on disaster risk reduction, including disaster risk assessments, rescue and protection plans, disaster risk reduction plans, flood defence operational plans, and so on. They have identified both risks and necessary scenarios for responding to such emergencies. Meanwhile, the necessary human resources are engaged and available. Most are experienced in DRR issues and have considerable knowledge.
